Scottish Inns Long Beach

A guy kept knocking on my door, saying he was “looking for his homie,” which felt sketchy for a young woman. The room was run down and filthy, and I paid $132 a day. I’d say it should cost $60 max. I’d booked a non-smoking room, but they gave mine away and put me in a room that reeked of cigarettes. There were butts in a corner, the light fixture was taped over, the smoke alarm was open with no batteries, and the bathroom fan cover was hanging by one hook. A jail cell would look cleaner and better.

Easy to reach from the major frwys, and great food is within walking distance. A good place to get some rest.

I paid 500 dollars for two nights, but walked into a cloud of cigarette smoke and found actual burn marks on the covers and pillowcases. I stayed just long enough to find another hotel, then left 15 minutes later. No refund.

At $70 a night, especially when rooms around Long Beach cost nearly twice as much, I don’t have many complaints. There was one little surprise on the floor by the nightstand. They wanted cash instead of a card, which concerned me. If you just need a place to sleep with good air conditioning, this is it.
