Artist Housing - Hostel

I booked a night and tried calling and texting them many times on the way there, but got no answer. You can’t get into the building. Still no response the next day. Scammers.

Friendly neighbors and staff made living here feel welcoming. My rent is affordable, and I have everything I need nearby, so getting around is convenient. 💖

There are 15 beds in one room, and it feels illegally overcrowded. The place has bed bugs, no management, a kitchen sink that’s been clogged for months, cold showers, and rooms that smell moldy. Please stay away.

I came back from my show around midnight and found bed bugs in the bed. I was covered in bites, and later, while waiting for the airport bus around 2:20 AM, I saw three or four bugs crawling on my bags. Instead of exploring LA on my first visit, I spent the rest of the trip at the airport so I could get home. I wouldn’t have stayed the first night if I’d been able to find another place sooner, and I’d strongly suggest booking elsewhere. Earlier, check-in around 5:20 PM had seemed fine at first. I’d booked two nights, but staff said they hadn’t received my payment, even though I showed several proofs that I’d paid. Someone in management then said guests sometimes owe a balance on arrival, but my reservation didn’t mention that. After several minutes, they set the issue aside while they looked into it. I assume it was sorted out since I heard nothing more, but they should check with the booking site before telling guests they haven’t paid.
