Studio Lodge Hotel

I was staying here with my family, just me and my dad. There are roaches, and the police are there all the time. They give the police your information for no reason, then officers check everyone and may arrest you over not appearing in court three years ago. That's a violation of your Fourth Amendment rights. If there were a particular reason or an issue happening, or the person had consented, that'd be different, but doing this as a routine practice is wrong and illegal. They even look you up when you arrive, judging you before you've settled in.

We've rented a room here often, but one day the same woman who'd rented to us before refused to rent me one. She said the ID wasn't mine, even though she acknowledged she'd accepted that same ID before. She said her manager had told her not to rent to me anymore. She pointed to a sign requiring government ID for entry and visitors, but doesn't check anyone else coming in. It feels like she just doesn't want to help me.

The entrance, carpet, rooms, and beds are mostly dirty, and being here can leave you feeling pretty miserable. The staff seem like characters acting out a part in this trapped hotel. I'm thankful in some way, though. The place needs to improve its customer service and get it to a decent level. Best wishes, Lodge 💞

The weekly price is hard to beat, which also means rooms can be scarce since it's first come, first served. You can stay for 21 days, check out, then come back the next day if you need to. I found it useful as a temporary place while moving into an apartment, and it was very affordable. The building is older, but it was clean, which matters more to me than a high price. I've paid a lot more for dirty hotel rooms. There’s laundry, parking, a shared kitchen, and vending machines. The staff were friendly, respectful, and happy to help with what I needed.
