I’ve planned many weddings at The Paramour since 2016, and I’m still in awe whenever I visit. I was thrilled to hear the newly renovated property will book a select number of events starting in October 2026. It’s my favorite estate venue in Los Angeles. The views across Los Angeles are spectacular. For a wedding, I like the lower lawn for the ceremony, the pool area for cocktails, then dinner on the upper great lawn before everyone moves to the ballroom to dance. Desserts, coffee, tea, and cake can be served in the salon, sunroom, or by the pool. My clients also enjoy the little speakeasy bar off the ballroom for whiskey or tequila tastings. With the rental, couples can use one of the lovely bedroom suites to get ready, and many rent overnight rooms there too. There are so many to choose from.

This city’s dependence on cars creates access barriers for people who can’t afford ride share or rely on public transit. Event organizers should reconsider using this estate, given how clearly the property policies are communicated, or rather, how little communication there is about them.

I went to a work party at the estate and could’ve spent hours wandering the grounds. It’s an unusual, endlessly interesting place with terrific views and a great pool. The pool can host special activities like synchronized swimming performances and lantern floats. The sit-down dinner we had was good too. I’d strongly recommend it for events.

When I visited while Papa Roach was recording their CD, every picture I took had orbs in it. I even caught what looked like a red spirit on the second floor, in front of the water buffalo. I see all the pictures people post, but none of theirs have the orbs. This place is haunted, and even the guys in Papa Roach will tell you.

The grounds are gorgeous, though it was a pricey stay. Every room had such beautiful, vibrant colors, and I loved the location. The view from the pool after dark was gorgeous too. The valet, chefs, and everyone else were friendly and helpful.
