The manager was extremely rude and demeaning when I called about the poor quality, and acted as if it was my fault. She refused a refund, saying I should have checked out within 30 minutes. When I asked for the general manager, she hung up. I called back, and she hung up again. I felt treated like an inconvenience instead of a guest, and I absolutely won’t return or recommend anyone spend money here. My room smelled of stale cigarettes, the TV didn’t work, and the floors were dirty. I called the front desk to ask someone to check the TV, but nobody came. I have nothing nice to say about this hotel.

It’s a budget friendly hotel, and booking.com is cheaper, but it can still work for a short or long stay. I can compare it to ten years ago, when the sheets were dirty and stained and I was getting eaten alive by bedbugs. Since then, the covers, sheets, and towels have been replaced, and most of the beds too. There’s still a lot of work to do, but I’ve seen a big improvement over the past ten years. 👏 👏

The doors were another problem. Some didn’t lock, and some were broken and hanging off. Staff said it didn’t matter because they had security guards, though I never saw any. There were dead flies and gnats in a warm fridge, roaches crawling up the wall, and swarms of bedbugs on every mattress. The workers reportedly said they were “pretty sure” bedbugs don’t spread, and management said they couldn’t do anything. They also admitted the room next door had been occupied for months by someone who didn’t clean, and they had to kick that person out the day before we arrived. Pest control sprayed the day before our stay. Me and two other people with me were covered in bedbug bites. We had to leave at 3 a.m. to find another hotel. First we were told nothing could be done until the manager arrived at 7 a.m.; then the manager said nothing could be done until the owners came the next day, and blamed us. This place deserves negative stars.

I checked in Friday and paid for two weeks, but I ended up spending three days dealing with a room door that wouldn’t work. After I left for a while, my key card stopped working. The problem was the lock, not the card, and I had to pry the window open to get inside. I told the front desk and got, “These things happen.” Around 4 p.m. someone repaired the door while I was out, but then neither key card worked. I walked down three flights of stairs because there’s no elevator. The desk clerk rekeyed my card, but it still didn’t work. It took three trips to the office and a lot of unprofessional behavior from one woman before I finally got in. An apology for the hassle would have gone a long way, but I never got one. Eleven days remained before checkout, and I’ll never stay here again.
