I'm a professional cleaner, and they need to sweep lint from corners and baseboards before vacuuming. The room also needs paint, new curtains, and updated linens. In room 114, a recent repair above the shower was unfinished, with stark white, unpainted plaster, and black mold around the shower wall bracket. The linens themselves were decent and the bed comfortable, but the towels were small and the floor mat had rust stains. We slept well during our eight hours there. At $80 plus tax, I wouldn't expect to pay more.

It's in a decent location, though being just off the main highway makes it a little loud. The rooms are fairly clean, but the shower pressure wasn't very good.

Check-in was quick, parking was ample, the HVAC worked well, and the road noise wasn't bad. I slept through the night on an excellent bed. Staff were friendly too. Breakfast was cold cereal and hot coffee. One note: Restaurant 1809, an excellent downtown restaurant, is across from the train engine.

The shower and curtain had brown stains, and there were yellow splatters on the bedroom walls. The room was pretty grungy, despite the good cleanliness reviews I'd read. It fit my budget for parent weekend, though thankfully they let us cancel and void the charge.

I was expecting a much worse stay when I heard our work rooms were booked here, since this wouldn't be my first choice on a budget. It's a little dated, but the rooms are quite clean. The owners are quick to keep them that way and help make the stay as enjoyable as they can. I'd stay again.
