The Woodward Hotel

We had a smooth stay from check-in through checkout while stopping in Macon between Savannah and my flight from Atlanta the next day. Ashley was incredibly kind, helpful, and hospitable. The room was lovely, with beautiful design and high-quality finishes, which felt like a treat for the price. I'd definitely recommend it and come back if we're passing through again. After many hours on the road, we were tired and in sweatpants, and Abigail still made us feel welcome. Self check-in left us a little confused about our room number and which door to use, but she came right over when we asked for help. Then she made me a perfectly made Grey Goose dirty martini, followed by a last word as a nightcap. The Quill has such a cozy feel after a long travel day, and we had a lovely chat with a local named Beth, who's an amazing artist. The place is a real reprieve for a weary traveler. I also loved that the room had toiletries for women, the kind every hotel should provide. Bravo for thinking of us. We'll be back to stay at the Woodward. We absolutely love it!

I was here on business and found the room clean and comfortable. The staff we talked to were friendly and easy to approach. Check-in instructions were a bit confusing, so be sure to look for them in your email before you arrive. We'd stay again if work brings us back to town.

The rooms were clean, and the place is close to everything. A couple of little things came up, but they weren't a big deal. The AC unit ticked pretty loudly all night, and its light was bright, so you might notice it if you need total darkness and quiet to sleep. I booked with Capital One and never got the email with the entry codes. The number on the reservation was answered quickly, though, and they helped me out. Their own website might have worked better.
