Weathervane Motel

I’d call this the best hotel in Manchester, Vermont. The service is outstanding, and everyone is nice, clean, and welcoming. I love the location too. The rooms feel like home, and the motel is welcoming, loving, and trustworthy. There’s nothing better than the loyalty of the guests.

The room was large and clean, and the price is about half what other places nearby charge. It’s an older motel, and you won’t find lots of amenities or pampering here. If you just need a quiet, clean place for a night or two, it’s great for the money. People get upset about there being no amenities, but if you want breakfast, “Up For Breakfast” is nearby. This isn’t a four star resort. It’s a clean place at about the lowest price you’ll find in the area.

After driving for 7 hours, we got there at 11:30 and found a dark office with nobody around to let us into our room. The booking website hadn’t said the office closed at 10pm. We had nowhere to stay and ended up sleeping in our vehicle in 18 degree weather. When I asked for a refund, the owner refused and said, “he's trying to run a business, no refund”. What a joke of an establishment. Do not book here!!!!!!

There was no running water when I arrived for my booking. I went to dinner and came back two hours later, and was told the plumber would return the following morning. I couldn’t stay without a working bathroom, but the owner suggested I sleep there and shower in the morning. That wasn’t going to work. He told me to call Expedia for a refund, but they couldn’t reach him because he wouldn’t answer the phone, and Expedia won’t refund my money. I’m very disappointed. The hotel is fairly rundown and the room smelled very musty. If I’d read the reviews before booking, I never would have gone there. Buyer beware!
