Quality Inn & Suites Manitou Springs at Pikes Peak

The floors were filthy and the room wasn't very clean. We had no towels at all. After I called, they brought two washcloths and two bath towels for our two-night stay, with nothing to dry our hands or leave outside the shower. The sidewalks hadn't been swept, and the parking lot was so icy I nearly slipped and fell.

The parking lot was a mess, with cigarette butts and trash everywhere. The whole property looked run-down, like nobody cared about it. Our room was filthy, the shower clearly hadn't been cleaned, and the sheets had hair and stains all over them. Breakfast was supposed to run from 6:30 to 9, but the doors were locked when we got there. We were then told it was 7 to 9, and the food wasn't ready, so we didn't eat. Save your money and go to Days Inn. I wish we had.

We had a clean room with no odors, and the beds were very comfortable. The simple breakfast was enough, and the staff were helpful. We stayed with our grandsons in a two-queen room. The motel is near Pikes Peak and Colorado Springs, and it exceeded what we expected. We'd stay again.

The staff were really friendly, and I have nothing bad to say about their service. Still, after seeing the first room, I worried more about catching something here than anything else. It hadn't been made up, and the mattress protector had several blood stains and holes. If a hotel leaves that on a bed, it makes me question what else is going on. They moved us to another room, but since we were only staying one night, we chose not to check under the sheets or inspect things too closely. I would never stay at another hotel in this chain. That picture gives me the heebie-jeebies.
