Harbor Light Inn

The staff were friendly, attentive and welcoming the entire time. We had a large room with a sofa bed but no fireplace of its own, though there were three downstairs where we could sit and relax. The hotel has charming little decorative details, and the fireplaces made the common areas especially inviting. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well maintained, and housekeeping did a fantastic job. Historic Marblehead is such a lovely area to explore, and the hotel is wonderfully located.

Marblehead is a precious town with great food, and Salem is just a short trip away. We came here for our honeymoon and had such a beautiful, happy stay. The staff welcomed us so warmly that we felt at peace, and honestly, we were sad to leave. We've already started talking about when we can come back. We loved it and can't say enough good things about our stay. 💕⛵️

I stumbled on this bed and breakfast on New Year's Eve a few years ago, and my wife and I have returned several times since. The old inn in a historic town really adds to the charm of a trip. Inside, the rooms feel homey and are well kept, and the common areas are welcoming. Breakfast is great, with lots of gluten-free options, and the staff are friendly and accommodating.

The continental breakfast was underwhelming, and the Wi-Fi kept cutting out during a short video call I had with family. The bigger problem was how little sound insulation our room seemed to have. People slamming doors woke my wife and me several times. On our last morning, we were jolted awake at 3:00 a.m. by several slamming doors and what I can only describe as the sound of a typhoon from the next room, which went on for hours. I somehow finished my vacation even more sleep-deprived than when I started.
