I’d just gotten out of the hospital and made a mistake with the date when I booked, thinking the room was for tonight. When I asked to cancel, the man said no, because he wouldn’t make any money and neither would I. I’m not sure what money he thought I’d be making. Then I was told there weren’t any rooms available that night anyway because the place had no running water. I was sick and had simply picked the wrong date. The whole thing felt messed up, and I found him rude and focused on money.

The building was clean, but pretty outdated, and I didn’t think the stay was worth the price. Breakfast had very few options and you have to make it yourself. I’ve never had to make my own waffles at a hotel before. They also hold $50 and say it’ll be returned at checkout, but I was told a card refund could take 7-10 business days, so cash might be better. The building door was broken and wouldn’t lock. I stayed because my husband was with me.

There were roaches, no hot water, and some sketchy people hanging around outside. The room itself smelled musty, and the bed had broken springs.

We had two rooms, and after returning from a concert we took a proper look and decided neither was good enough to stay in. One door needed to be slammed to shut, the other had no extra lock, and the smell was awful. Turning on the AC made it worse. We also saw two drug deals in the parking lot. When we asked for our money back, they said no and told us cancellations were only allowed within 10 minutes of check-in. I’ve never been so disgusted with a hotel. Such a disappointment.
