Days Inn Marquette

We travel a lot and have stayed in some high-end hotels, but this Days Inn felt more welcoming, friendly, and accommodating than any of them. Julie at the front desk went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and convenient, and everyone else at the desk was great, too. The housekeeping staff we met had such lovely personalities that we felt like friends by the time we left. Our dog was happy to get treats at check-in. The room was well maintained, and the beds were comfortable. The one drawback was regulating the temperature. It was below freezing outside, yet we had to run the air conditioner to make the room cool enough for sleeping. Maybe the heat on the second floor was turned up high. The employees and management are doing a great job. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Booking was easy, and both check-in and checkout were simple and pleasant. Members also get extra perks. We come to the Days inn in Marquette for both business and pleasure, and the cozy hotel and sweet, helpful staff keep bringing us back. The rooms are clean and pleasant, with super-comfortable beds. Breakfast is fresh and warm, and stays open for a good while in the morning. Thanks so much. We’ll be back!

We’re locals and booked a night so our son could use the pool and hot tub for his birthday. We’d stayed here years ago and remembered it as fine, so we picked it as a budget-friendly option in Marquette. I regret not paying a bit more to stay elsewhere. The room was small, as expected, with the sink near the door, but check-in was quick. The bedding was clean and the surfaces looked wiped down. We did find a previous guest’s belongings in a drawer and returned them to the front desk. The pool was the main reason we came, and the water looked cloudy enough that we could barely see the bottom even with goggles. The pool floor was dirty, there was slime on the deep end wall, and I found a water bottle floating in the water. It seemed like they were using too much chlorine instead of cleaning properly. The children’s spa was warm and seemed the cleanest of the three, though there was dirt visible when the bubbles stopped. The adult hot tub was at a perfect temperature, but the area around it was unsanitary, with worn surfaces, discolored tiles, and visible mold on the walls. I got out soon after sitting down because of its condition. Breakfast was the usual small-hotel spread: biscuits and gravy in a crockpot, oatmeal, a waffle maker, bagels, pastries, and fruit. There wasn’t much variety, and none of it looked very appetizing. The coffee was bad enough that I made a quick stop at Starbucks before heading home. Our son enjoyed swimming and didn’t seem bothered by the cleanliness, but the pool area and adult hot tub were unacceptable. I’d tell travelers to spend the extra money on another option in the area.

The front desk team was so helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed. My room was clean and comfortable. I’d highly recommend staying here.
