The full-size fridge was handy, and I liked having the prepackaged coffee filters because they were easy to use. The room itself was okay, though I wish the adjoining-room door lock felt more secure. What really bothered me was the number of spiders. There were webs and plenty of spiders outside both rooms we rented, and the back patios didn’t look like they’d been treated. When I opened the slider, I saw spiders all the way down the building.

We stayed in room #4 and found it very clean, with easy code access. It had two queen beds, though one seemed much newer, plus a nice kitchenette with accessories, a mini fridge, and a full stove. The light that didn’t work and the toilet that didn’t flush well were the only problems. It would work well for a night, a weekend, or longer, and I’d stay again.

For $170 a night, I expected at least a comfortable stay. The beds weren’t comfortable, the rooms had a strange smell, and traffic from Stix made it noisy. The new owners, especially the older lady, had terrible customer skills. It was just an unpleasant and expensive experience for what they offer.

Being close to the state park beach was a plus. The kitchenette made it easy to prepare meals, and the place was clean, comfortable, and affordable.

I just got off the phone with the office. I needed two rooms for one night, but was told they don’t do that and that it would cost $340 for two nights per room. I don’t understand the point of a motel with a night requirement. We’ll stay somewhere else.
