La Copa Hotel

My wife, our two daughters and I were playing in the pool when employees got upset and came out to tell us to stop, or he would call the police. We weren’t doing anything wrong, just trying to enjoy time with the family. It ruined the experience and was very disappointing. I don’t recommend this place and we won’t be back. We’ll return to our usual hotel. 👎👎👎👎👎

I was traveling with my two small children, and there was no way we could stay without hot water. I’d already paid and booked through Expedia, but when I called, a man told me the property had no hot water and was waiving all cancellation fees. He said to contact Expedia for the refund. Expedia couldn’t refund me because the property wouldn’t approve it. I wish I could speak directly with someone actually in charge. I was lied to about the fee being waived, and this is ridiculous. I’ll never try to book or reserve with this property again.

The hotel itself is good, but the service was the worst I’ve had in the Valley. I rent a hotel in McAllen every Saturday, and tried this one today. I won’t book here again. At 6:30, Mr. Barbon came out and said we couldn’t make noise because my daughters were playing in the pool. I’d understand if it were already nighttime, but it was still early. He even threatened to call the police when we weren’t doing anything wrong. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel because the service was so bad.

Something is seriously wrong here. Find somewhere else, run! The windows don’t lock, and they don’t care or offer another room. They wanted to charge a $60 cleaning fee, and there was no refund. I called the police to make a report in case anything happened. The manager was hiding. Slum lords! I took pictures too. Part of the extra door lock was missing. Very safe, outstanding service! Maybe it’s my fault?
