Breakfast turned out really good, but the stay had plenty of problems before that. When we got to the room, the hotel seemed unclean and it smelled musty inside. The TV setup wasn't much help either, since there was no channel guide and we had to scroll through everything. There was no soap left in the tub, so I went back to the desk for a bottle. My husband had already started showering before he found out, and my daughter and I had gone to breakfast. The reservation was a mess too: I had called the week before because no confirmation email came, but at check-in they couldn't find it. They eventually found it under the wrong date, so I booked another room online and the clerk canceled the other one. I usually fly often and like HIE, but this visit wasn't a good one.

The free happy hour was a plus, and the hotel is close to whatever you might need. The room itself was a different story for $193 a night: stains on the comforter and couch, sloppy wall repairs, peeling shower ceiling, and the same nasty soap dispensers being refilled instead of replaced. Outside it was 37deg, but the heater had the room at 99deg when I arrived. It took four hours to cool down enough to sleep. Holiday has lost their mind if they think this is a top notch hotel at that price.

We stayed Wednesday through Saturday, and the room was never cleaned during that time. After using the towels the first night before dinner with our son, we had none the next day. I asked for some at 9:30am and was told they'd bring them, but they didn't arrive until after 11:30am. When I asked again at 11:15, I was told the towels were in the dryer. We didn't get any more for the rest of the stay. We'd stayed here several times before, but this visit was really upsetting.

The room was really clean and had no odd smell. It was warmer than we wanted at first, but we adjusted the temperature. I liked the high ceilings, and the ceiling fan was a nice surprise. Breakfast was really good, with eggs, bacon, sausage, omelets, cereal, bagels, and pancakes. Staff were friendly, and our midnight check-in went smoothly. We booked online, and the place was easy to reach just off the interstate, with stores, gas stations, and food nearby. The room was bigger than I expected.
