I’m still here after booking three nights, and I’ve had enough. The first night was calm. The next evening, my daughter and I found out the laundry room was closed for construction, and the gym wasn’t working either. There’s no pool, so we tried to make do. We bought donuts from the Publix Bakery, but they were covered in bugs by morning, so I threw them out before taking my daughter to school and going to work. When I got back, black bugs were all over the wall, counter, and sink. I reported it at the desk, and the woman came to look and moved us to another room. There was a silverfish on that bathroom floor. When I asked for a bug-free room or a refund because the advertised amenities weren’t available and I didn’t want bugs, she said no and insisted they weren’t bugs. They were. Now the AC in our last room keeps shutting off and turning back on, and it smells like mold. The customer service is worse than the run-down hotel itself. Save yourself the trouble and pay the extra $10 for somewhere else.

I stayed four nights while construction was going on in different parts of the property. At check-in, they charged a $100 deposit. More than a week after I left, it still hadn’t been credited, so I called. They said they didn’t take deposits and couldn’t find a record of my stay. I contacted my credit card company, and they credited the deposit that had been charged.

For $60, it was worth it. They’re renovating right now, so the place feels pretty eerie, but the room was spacious and the bathroom was new.

I had a strong odor in the bedroom even before arriving at the motel. The first night seemed fine, but the smell was extremely bad the next day. The front desk brushed off my concern and said all the other rooms smelled the same. I had serious chest pains that could have sent me to the emergency room. When I asked to switch rooms, they wanted to charge me $20, even though my family had already paid $300-$500 for my stay. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re a single mom planning to live on your own. The customer service and food service ethic are lacking, and you’ll have to buy your own groceries. Nasty pest control woke me up the first night. Later, when I came back from errands at Publix with my groceries and bike, staff spoke to me disrespectfully and said I had to leave the bike outside. It was a new gift, and I didn’t feel safe leaving it where someone could steal it.
