The Central Station Memphis, Curio Collection by Hilton

The staff were so sweet and polite, which made our visit feel special. Central Station Hotel is a beautiful, distinctive place with a stylish but welcoming atmosphere. Rooms run small, but they're comfortable and thoughtfully laid out once you settle in. Right across the street is the iconic Arcade Restaurant, open since 1919 and once a favorite of Elvis. It was fun having that bit of Memphis history so close, along with a few cute shops that make the area lively and easy to walk around. We'd definitely return. Highly recommend if you want a place with character.

Breakfast on 2/15/26 showed up more than an hour late to work. I also had to contact the hotel twice about my bill before they finally corrected the missing $100 property credit. I'd booked this Hilton property months ahead through the American Express FHC program as a Hilton Gold member, but they put me in the worst room on the property and absolutely refused to recognize status. The view was extremely disappointing too. I've since canceled my Hilton credit cards and moved my spending to Marriott and IHG cards and properties, where they recognize loyalty and treat guests accordingly. Never again, Hilton.

The location is spectacular, with several restaurants nearby and the trolley right outside the front doors. Staff were nice and accommodating, and the Christmas decorations were beautiful. There's a club inside, but we weren't bothered by its music. The room could have been cleaner: the shower doors had smudges and there was grime on the floor. Also, the train is literally 35 feet from the hotel.

The suite was spacious, with a sitting area, and the rooms are very nice. The help desk staff were helpful and friendly. A couple things, though: the rooms are cold, and an engineer had to unlock a passcode setting so I could adjust it. They did take care of that. Parking at $28.00 a night is too expensive. This was my first stay here.
