Studio 6 Meridian, MS - Bonita Lakes

The place was trash. The room was filthy, including the doors, shower, and floors, and I had to clean it before I could rest. Then they charged me a $50 fee because I spilled juice on sheets they had to wash anyway. You get what you pay for.

(23SEP2025) I paid $106 for one night and wish I'd spent the extra $40 on another hotel. The room was dirty, and it didn't look like the sheets had been washed. When we changed the sheets and pillow covers, we found old, oily pillows, one with a blood stain, and blood on the sheets too. This is the first bad review I've wanted to write, but save yourself the regret and stay elsewhere. A night here leaves you feeling unclean. The housekeepers and hotel staff need to provide cleaner rooms and replace stained linens, but they cheap out and reuse disgusting ones.

I felt perfectly safe here, even taking my smallish dog out late at night. I'm an older woman traveling alone and don't usually stay at hotels with exterior doors, but I needed a pet-friendly overnight stop. Studio 6 was well lit and quiet, with a nicely kept grassy area for dogs. The front desk gentleman was friendly, and the clean room had a comfortable bed. The air-conditioning was icy cold with no bad smell. The only insect I saw was a house-fly that came in while I was bringing in my luggage. I'd definitely stay again when passing through.

The location and low price were the only good parts of this stay. Studio 6 was convenient, but you get what you pay for. The room wasn't clean: there was hair in the bathroom and tub, the bed frame was dirty, and I found dead bugs on the floor. Broken LED lights dangled above the headboard. The door frame had a big gap and wasn't properly weatherstripped, so I could see outside with the door shut. The sheets had several holes, and the mattress was much too firm. My shoulders went numb several times during the night.
