Comfort Suites

I canceled my reservation and went somewhere else. From the moment I walked in, it was clear they weren’t keeping up with cleaning or maintenance. The floor behind the counter was filthy, the rug needed a thorough wash and vacuum, and the counter itself needed wiping. There was a strange machine on the counter that I think was meant to make the place smell better, plus laminated notices everywhere. It was obvious they weren’t spending money to repair or replace things. I travel two to three weeks a month and stay at plenty of Comfort Suites, and this was one of the worst. I don’t know how Comfort inn allows its name to be attached to a place like this.

I’d moved here from a nearby hotel because that one wasn’t clean, and I’m glad I did. This hotel was very clean and well maintained, with neat, comfortable rooms and really helpful front desk staff. The pool and hot tub were a nice extra. I had a great stay and would definitely return.

Hair was in the beds and all over the bathroom, with food and other trash left on the floor. Something was floating on top of the pool, too. They gave excuses about new cleaners and backflushing the pool, but it felt like they didn’t care. This was my worst stay at a Comfort Suites, and I stay there a lot. I won’t be back.

The rooms were fine, though there were crumbs on our blanket when we arrived. The tubs in the showers are tiny, and the air conditioning didn’t work right. We set it to 60, but it seemed to shut off around 68. I had to keep switching it off and over to heat to get the fan blowing. There’s free Wi-Fi and a free hot breakfast, and for the price the quality wasn’t bad. But if you run hot, the rooms will feel too warm. The pool had so much chlorine that our skin felt like it was burning, even the next day. The hot tub was extremely hot as well. There were lots of kids around, which was fine.
