Dilo Apartments

During our five days, we got no maid service and no clean towels. The beds weren’t comfortable, and there was only one small TV for the whole family. In the room, there was a cooktop, microwave, and a coffee machine that made two cups. It also smelled moldy. Valet was a mess. It took half an hour to check in our car, and then we had to renew it every day at the front desk, where there was always a long line. We’re smokers, and having to walk a block to smoke on the beach was a pain. Does anyone here speak English? We found a room in Ft. Lauderdale for half the price, with a 65" TV, walk-in shower, an elevator right by the room, big towels, and a really comfortable bed with down bedding. Dilo apartments: 0. Comfort Inn Ft. Our studio apartment was disgusting and disappointing. There was trash in the bathroom left by the previous guests on the first day, and the bathroom faucet smelled awful. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. There were only two chairs for four of us, so my husband and I had to stand or sit on the beds while the kids used the chairs to eat. We asked several times for housekeeping, but nobody came. Don’t stay at these apartments that use different names: Boutique apartments, Girasole, Dilo.

There’s no wheelchair access at all. The front entrance has a set of steps, with no ramp available or on site. The building’s infrastructure is old and faulty, and the plumbing can’t handle large parties. The valet check-in was slow, though passable. Inside, the colors feel drab and lifeless, the rooms need an immediate overhaul, and the mattresses look like they’ve been used for decades and need replacing.

After we came back from the beach, we found a black guy going through our things. Someone had broken in through the sliding glass door. We called security, but they didn’t do much, and I think he was in cahoots with him. The cops took a statement and that was about it. With the door busted open, we had to find somewhere else to stay, and the property offered no help. Don’t ever stay here, they’ll rob you blind.
