Pantera Rosa

Pantera Rosa is in a great location, and we felt safe and comfortable there. The online staff were responsive when we had questions or needed something. For the price, it was a good stay. Work in the room below us was very loud on Saturday morning, though it only lasted a short while. The couch also definitely needs repair or replacement.

We ended up booking another hotel after waiting all day for a callback about when the hot water would be restored. We were told someone would contact the building manager and get back to us, but nobody called. We're disputing the charges for our four-day stay because no hot water is unacceptable. The building's hot water had reportedly been out for days, but they still let us check in. We took cold showers the first night, and the shower leaked across the bathroom floor. The unit looked dingy and dirty, one of its two TVs didn't work, and there was nowhere to store luggage before check-in or after checkout. Early check-in wasn't available either. Since this is a remotely managed rental with no front desk, we had to call for help. Housekeeping left very little coffee for the Keurig and only three bath towels for two people staying four days. A note said housekeeping visits cost extra. They did bring more coffee, but it took about five emails back and forth. The neighborhood is nice, and the condo was spacious and comfortable enough. It could have been a wonderful stay if there had been hot water and cleaner living-room furniture. Very disappointing.

I've stayed here twice now and love it. I feel safe traveling alone as a woman, and the location is the best in my opinion. The ocean is just around the block, and there's a great park where you can sit and watch the culture on Ocean Drive. The hotel has a stove, microwave, fridge, and everything you need to cook a good meal.

With my two-year-old, it was only a two-minute walk to the ocean, and the room stayed quiet. I could barely hear anything outside. I saw the neighbor once and was surprised, since it had felt like we were the only guests in the building. Getting in was easy. They emailed and texted the instructions for check-in and entering the room. It was clean and comfortable, with a good bed and couch, a desk, big-screen TV, bathroom, dining room, and a nice kitchen that had what we needed. I didn't use the Wi-Fi much, but it was fast and steady when I did. We had a great vacation.
