Best Western Plus Miami Airport North Hotel & Suites

We loved the shower, especially after two weeks of traveling. The pressure and amount of water were spot on, and my husband and I both thought it was the best hotel shower we’ve had. The rooms were super clean and the beds were really comfortable. It’s also very close to the airport, which is handy for early or late flights. We know where we’ll stay next time we’re in Miami.

I booked for the airport location and free shuttle. After I called on arrival, the shuttle came within 20 minutes. I got a newly renovated king room on the ground floor that smelled of new carpet, and it was lovely and perfectly adequate for one night. The blinds blocked the light well, the TV worked with lots of channels, and breakfast was included. It was okay, nothing special, and the plastic cutlery all goes to landfill, which isn’t great. While they renovate the upper floors, old furniture is being dumped in the back car park and blocks any view of the golf course. There’s no restaurant on site, little nearby, and the vending machines had very little in them. The small grocery store nearby was limited too, so come prepared if you don’t have a car. I booked the shuttle to Miami Port for the next morning. It was meant to leave at 10:30am but was at least half an hour late after loading, checking names on the booking list, collecting US$15 per person, and general messing about. Traffic was very heavy too, so leave plenty of time. If there’s a group of you, an Uber may be easier and more comfortable.

We liked the hotel, and the staff were great. Breakfast was delicious. A special thanks to Luz at the front desk, who was super accommodating.

We had a great two-night stay. Everyone was friendly, and all the amenities were easy to reach. I especially liked having an indoor pool with the frequent thunderstorms. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well maintained, and breakfast was included, which was a big plus. The breakfast room staff were lovely too. We highly recommend it.
