Michigan City Inn

I booked through hotels.com thinking the place was Michigan City Inn, but it turned out to be the Ramada. I wasn't going to write a review at first, but after talking with "Gerald" on hotels.com and being told to "follow the policy," I decided people need to know. I paid 155$ for a bedroom with stains on the bed and holes in the walls. I took a video and can post it if needed. I spoke with two hotels.com agents: the first said they'd call Monday about my refund request; the second was to let them know the hotel was the Ramada, not Michigan City Inn, so future guests would know. Then I was told I had to follow the policy and would lose the 155.

The place has so many problems it should be condemned. The corridor lights don't work, and neither do the outlets in the rooms. One back hallway was closed because it had flooded with water that smelled like sewer. The bathtub wouldn't drain. I had to raise the towel issue with the desk several times just to get a couple of clean ones. There was trash and plastic bags all over the parking lot and flower beds, with water stains and damaged walls everywhere. Lights were falling out of the pool, and there was loose wiring in the water. It feels one step above an abandoned building.

It was filthy around the entry, and the place looked nothing like the photos. We left the room after only five minutes. This rundown piece of crap isn't worth your money.
