The owners are genuinely friendly and take care of the place and their guests. You can see it in how clean and organized everything is, from the new appliances to the flowers and landscaping, and in how they greet visitors. We had a cozy, spacious room with a sofa and little table, plus a small balcony with chairs overlooking the lake. The lake view was beautiful, and the beach, cliff walk, and restaurants are all within walking distance. We'd been coming to Rhode Island for years and always wanted to stay here. We tried it for a couple of days this year, and it exceeded what I'd expected from the other reviews. Loved it, and can't wait to come back!

The owners were so sweet, and the views were beautiful. We loved staying here. The location was great, and we walked to Flows bar. The rooms did the job, and all the flowers made the motel look stunning. We'd definitely stay again!

We loved our two days here. Jeff and Teri were welcoming and friendly, and really went above and beyond. The room was very clean, comfortable, and affordable, with a nice little balcony sitting area. Out back, there was also a lovely place to sit overlooking a beautiful pond. The motel is in a great spot, walking distance to the beach and several good restaurants. I highly recommend booking here.

We've vacationed in the Newport/Middletown area for years, but this was our first stay at Sea Whale Motel. It was just right: charming, clean rooms, good air conditioning, a comfortable bed, microwave, coffee maker, and small tables inside and out on the balcony. The owners were friendly and on site. From the room's sliding glass door and balcony, we had a beautiful ocean view. We've never seen such lovely sunsets over the water from our room. We plan to come back to Sea Whale next year.

The flowers outside made this little motel especially charming, and the location worked great for our trip to Newport. My daughter and I showed up without a reservation and got lucky: Terri and Jeff had a clean, comfortable room ready at a very reasonable price. They were so welcoming and accommodating. We’ll definitely stay again next time we’re in Newport. Thanks for the hospitality, Terri & Jeff :)
