The friendly welcome made this a good stop on a longer trip. We were greeted with a warm smile and a goodie bag as soon as we entered, and that really made a difference. The room was bigger than I'd expected, and breakfast was the usual Marriott style, with choices mindful of different dietary needs. I did find the towels disappointing. The face towels were thin and cheap, and even though the bath towels were thicker, they felt small to me at 5'2" and 130 lbs. I can't imagine them working well for someone taller or larger. The stay was good for one night overall.

Veronica, who works both the breakfast area and front desk, was friendly and knew her stuff. I asked for several recommendations, and she pointed me to places I enjoyed. I'll come back, and I'm looking forward to having Veronica make waffles for me like she did for the guests.

The staff were friendly and tried to sort things out, but the room still wasn't a good experience. It smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and the odor never fully went away despite their efforts. The internet also wasn't working, so I had to use my phone's hotspot. I won't return to this property.

This has been a problem at many Marriott properties for years: internet sign-in is unreliable and sometimes impossible. I've run into it on two Android devices, two Windows laptops, and an iPhone. It may be Marriott corporate's responsibility rather than the individual property, but from now on, any hotel with this issue gets a one-star review. Marriott, internet is as essential as water and electricity. If you can't provide it simply and reliably, you don't deserve to be in business. I'm a lifetime Platinum Elite member with over 2,200 nights.

The AC in the room and the shower work perfectly. The elevator stops working at random, though, and the roads are blocked by police before I can book.
