Courtyard by Marriott Milpitas Silicon Valley

We spent two days here as a couple for a hockey game at the SAP center. It was only 15 minutes to get there and downtown. Check-in was smooth, with no issues, and the front desk person was really kind and funny. We enjoyed chatting with him. The mall is just down the road, and most places are a short drive or walk away. We found the stay comfortable and would come back.

The room was on the second floor, and the standing shower had poor water pressure. They gave us two bottles of water at check-in only, then charged US$5 for each bottle in the room, which felt like daylight robbery. There was cleaning service only once during our stay. No toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, or body lotion was provided. I asked at the desk and was lucky to get the only shower cap in their small box. 🤣 There is a self-service laundromat, lots of parking, and Great Mall is next door. Macdonald is an easy walk, but there wasn't other food nearby. No complimentary breakfast.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and my room was clean. It was a perfect stay.

The room could've been cleaner, and the towel was rough, probably from being overused. The AC controller didn't work, so I had to adjust it on the main unit. The TV had trouble connecting to local channels and the internet, and the internet itself lagged. Breakfast tasted bland; I couldn't find any condiments, though maybe they were somewhere else. Coffee was okay. At night, the bartender or receptionist served drinks. I ordered an old fashioned, but it was too sweet, and the next one barely had any whiskey. For the price, that wasn't good, especially after a long workday.
