Best Western PLUS Milwaukee West

I’ve stayed in all kinds of hotels, from five-star places to budget ones, and this is pretty nice for a budget hotel. It’s extremely clean, even compared with some five-star hotels I’ve been in. The lobby and rooms were both spotless. There’s a bar serving food, and it’s actually good and reasonably priced. The burgers are cooked to order, though the bartender isn’t very friendly. Breakfast is decent too, with eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and more. The pool is nice, and there’s a hot tub. Just be aware the area isn’t the best, though it’s not bad either.

The front desk staff were very nice, and our room was nice too. The restaurant was a different story. My aunt, my baby, and I waited over 30 minutes for anyone to come out. The highchair was sticky and had old food in it. Eventually we went to the front desk, where a very nice woman cleaned it for my son and went to tell the restaurant worker we’d been waiting. Instead of coming to us, that worker served someone who’d just arrived at the bar five minutes earlier. We never got a menu, and my son was hungry, so we left. As soon as we walked out, the worker came and took the highchair. It felt rude and disrespectful. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel’s restaurant.

For one night, it wasn’t a bad place to stay. The hotel was clean, the AC worked well, and the beds were in good shape. The pool area was nice too. There’s a lot of wear that could use attention, though, including the doors and toilet seat. The men’s bathroom by the pool had a door that wouldn’t shut, and the steps down from the third floor to the pool looked dirty, with very worn carpet.

A convenient, clean place to stay, though everything felt a little cramped or small. The pool and hot tub were nice, and breakfast was good. The queen beds were really full-size, but workable for our family of four.
