Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Downtown

Kerry at the front desk went the extra step, giving us a short tour of the first floor to see the old safes and vaults and sharing some history of the building. Thanks to her for that. We had a one-night stay, and I love historic properties, so this place really fit the bill. The architecture inside and out was stunning, and the rooms had high ceilings, a microwave, and a small fridge, which was just what we needed. Everyone else we met was great, from the valet to the bartender in the lounge. Look up "The Loyalty Building" in Milwaukee for some of the history. We’ll be back this summer when the weather’s better for a walk by the river.

Every person we met seemed focused on making sure we were comfortable and having a good time. The front desk, housekeeping, restaurant server, and omelet chef were all friendly and accommodating. The manager even texted to ask how we were doing and whether we needed anything. The valet team was wonderful, too. When we asked for our keys so we could get a few things from the car across the street, they insisted on bringing the car to us. It’s a beautiful old building full of character in downtown Milwaukee, within easy walking distance of restaurants, theaters, and attractions. Our room felt more luxurious than I expected. This hotel is truly one of a kind, and it’s where I’ll stay whenever I’m in Milwaukee.

The building is magnificent, with stunning architecture and an incredible history. It’s a Hilton property, so the service was excellent, and our room was clean, spacious, and had all the basics covered. The staff, from the valet to the breakfast team, were well trained and ready to help with a smile. I highly recommend it for your next trip to Milwaukee.

We found a parking spot easily on the street and could walk to the Water Street bars and clubs. For $114 on a Saturday night, our King room in this lovely old building felt like a gem. There’s an incredible original staircase, high ceilings, and a whole wall of arched windows. The windows were dirty, the only thing that marred an otherwise perfect stay.
