Kimpton Journeyman Hotel by IHG

The shared spaces were great for spending time with family and friends, and having a café, restaurant, and rooftop bar in the hotel gave our guests plenty of places to gather. The Kimpton Journeyman was a lovely spot for our wedding guests, and we got ready there on the wedding day. The hotel is beautiful, and the staff were wonderful all weekend, welcoming and kind to our whole group. We had a great time and would recommend it for a wedding weekend or a visit to Milwaukee.

They were so thoughtful for my boyfriend's birthday, surprising him with dessert and champagne while we celebrated. The hotel was very clean, and I was amazed by how pet friendly it was: they brought a dog bed, two ceramic bowls, and a scarf. The TV service was slow and there was no internet connection, but I'm still grateful for the staff and the service. Everyone was lovely, from valet and housekeeping to the front desk, rooftop staff, and hosts. 10/10, I'll definitely stay at Kimpton Journeyman Hotel again. Thank you so much!

The room cost $300 a night, but it smelled strongly musty around the desk and fridge, and the view was of the mechanicals on the roof. At check-in, the service was underwhelming. I asked to move rooms, but the front desk said they were fully booked and wouldn't know for a couple of hours whether they could move me. Nobody called or followed up, so I stayed in that room. The TV selection was the worst I've seen at a hotel. The restaurant was nice, though overpriced, and service there was slow. I'll go back to st. Kate's for Milwaukee trips. This place isn't worth the price.

The beds were VERY firm, and we didn't sleep well. That's a personal preference, since some people probably like them. We'd stay again and recommend the place, but would ask whether a softer mattress is available. The service was amazing, and the rooms were modern and clean. The rooftop bar was neat, though very pricey apart from the happy hour specials.
