Hyatt House Minot

The front desk manager who worked the bar on Saturday made our IMagicon weekend, with great drinks and service and laughs all night. I didn't catch her name, but if you see this, you're awesome! The rest of the staff were friendly and helped us get the room accommodations we needed. Our double queen room was super spacious, with cooking utensils, a dishwasher, sofa bed, and plenty of cabinet space. My group was there this past weekend, and we'd stay here again.

I picked Hyatt House because of the hot tub, but it was freezing after a pipe burst. I'd called the front desk before booking to check that it worked, and they assured me it did, so bringing my family down to find that was disappointing. There were smaller maintenance problems too, including a room phone that didn't work and a bedside lamp that wouldn't turn on. I stayed here in 2016 and was surprised by how much the quality has slipped. The hotel now feels dated and less well maintained. We still enjoyed our stay and it covered our basic needs, but I'll probably try somewhere else next time.

Alyssa and Theo at the front desk were prompt, courteous, and friendly. This is the best extended stay I've had in Minot, with clean rooms, a great breakfast, and a bar right on site. I'll definitely stay here again when I'm visiting family.

I can't see myself returning, and it's hard to believe this is Minot's number 2 hotel. You hear every step from the room above, the walls are thin, and doors keep slamming. The pool's chlorine smell is overwhelming. Rooms are outdated, too. Breakfast was horrible: several staff seemed miserable to be there, which felt especially bad in a hospitality business. Management was told about the problems and didn't care. The most I'd pay to stay again is $79.99 a night.
