We ended up parking our oversized vehicle ourselves after the valet refused to take it. We’d stayed here before without any parking trouble, and even asked if they could park it just for the night since we were checking out the next day. The valet guy and front desk girl still said no. He showed no kindness at all. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you have a large vehicle, especially with other nice hotels nearby. The downtown location is convenient, with restaurants, bars, and cafes within walking distance. The hotel itself is nice, but the breakfast wasn’t as good as at the AC Hotel in Bozeman.

At $311 a night, I expected better. The place gives an impression of luxury at first, but that falls away once you’re inside. There was no bottled water, the toilet didn’t work well, and the thermostat was noisy. It was also hard to reach the valet staff. Breakfast wasn’t available because of kitchen maintenance, which hadn’t been disclosed. I won’t be back.

The lounge downstairs was a highlight: the flatbread was delicious, and the staff knew how to make tasty drinks. Check-in was easy, and everyone I met on staff was really nice. The hotel is right downtown, so restaurants, shops, and the University of Montana are all an easy walk away.

I stay here often, but my last visit was a letdown. There was no hot water, and the hotel had known about the problem for at least a day without calling to let us make other plans. At that rate, I expect more.

There’s plenty to do downtown, and this is one of the best hotels in Missoula. The staff were courteous and polite. Just keep in mind there’s no parking included, so you’ll need to sort it out yourself or pay for valet.
