La Quinta Inn Missoula

Breakfast was better than I expected, with ham, bagged orange slices, four kinds of juice, and even PB&J sandwiches. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I took my dog out late at night and felt safe in the parking lot, and the hotel is pet friendly. They're remodeling the third floor, but it caused us no problems. I'd stay here again without hesitation.

The room was okay, and the bed was clean, but the pillows were awful and the AC wouldn't turn off. It didn't look like the floor had been swept or vacuumed in a while. The rest of the place was disgusting, including the halls, elevator, and lobby bathrooms. There's a fly problem throughout the building and it smells like mildew inside, while outside smells like feces. The elevator feels rickety and unsafe, and the laundry room floods if more than one person tries to do laundry. The pool itself was nice, but the chemical smell was so strong I got dizzy after 15 minutes. The hot tub has apparently been out of service for weeks, and staff said this has happened before. Staff wore leggings and short shorts, so I couldn't tell they worked there, and they were curt and rude with me. The gas station next door was handy since the hotel had no snacks or drinks. I definitely won't stay again.

The restroom had an odd smell, but I had Clorox wipes with me and cleaned around it, which almost got rid of it. The room was okay, the breakfast was great, and the woman at the front desk was nice. They're renovating, so the elevators are out of service. If you don't mind taking the stairs for a bit of exercise 😏, it's a nice place. I enjoyed my stay.

My room looked out over the stream, and it was a nice place to stay. There's construction going on, but it stayed relatively quiet for me. The new rooms are nice, breakfast was good and plentiful, and the staff were courteous and helpful.
