Extend a Suites Mobile Tillmans Corner

A few weeks into my stay, I heard gunshots and found out a man had been shot. People’s rooms also smell of weed when you walk past, and I’ve heard about people having to crawl in through the air conditioner to get into their rooms. My own door handle came off. They fixed it, but it still doesn’t work right. The room looked nice at first, then I spotted some cockroaches. I was used to seeing those, but the bathroom was awful: tiny, with roaches all over the bathtub and mold on the wall.

It’s in a good spot, and you can walk to the gas station. The rooms are cheap, so I kind of expected them to be gross, but they really need a deep clean before guests arrive. There were dead bugs between the mattress and box spring, no toiletries or towels in the room unless you ask, and the bathroom light bulb was out.

The staff were polite and treated us well. They even let us look at the room before we paid, and warned us there were no refunds. We didn’t see the bugs then, though, because they came out at night. Once we turned the lights off briefly and back on, they were everywhere. The folded towels by the sink had stains and glitter on them, and there was no toilet paper. There also wasn’t a lock or latch on the door, only the key card. The room was disgusting, and the area didn’t feel safe. What was supposed to be a simple getaway night turned into a horror movie for me and my fiancé. I don’t know why this place hasn’t been condemned or torn down.

The laundry was advertised as available, but it was broken and out of order. There were no snack machines either, despite what the website said. Housekeeping never knocked to ask if we needed clean linens. Roaches were everywhere, and the spray, sticky traps, and electronic plug-in pest devices we bought didn’t stop them. There were loud arguments and screaming all night, and after a few nights the police were called. The place is filthy, staff sleep on the job, and no one does anything. It should be shut down.
