The rooms are a little dated, but they smelled nice and clean. Stacy at the front desk made my stay, from start to finish. She was helpful, knew her stuff, and gave me good recommendations. It was a pleasure meeting her, and I’d come back just for her. She’s great at her job.

The room was roomy and very clean, with two queen beds, and the stay was pleasant. The bathroom was quite small, and the AC control wouldn’t go below 66°F. The pool was closed, but there’s a gym on the third floor. There’s a restaurant on the main floor and a bar upstairs, though don’t count on the bar staying open late on a weekday. We went up around 10 PM on a Wednesday and it was closed. I recommend the hotel for a downtown Mobile trip, with plenty to do within walking distance.

The door was the biggest problem. It wouldn’t shut unless I slammed it, announcing to everyone in neighboring rooms that I was some half-witted, inconsiderate moron. Sometimes it looked closed, but I could push it open if I leaned hard enough. Maintenance sent someone who muttered something I couldn’t make out, then left me with a door that still wouldn’t close. My key timed out three times during a two-day stay. The Wi-Fi had minor issues, the shower sent half its water out of the faucet, leaving only acceptable pressure, and on the seventh floor I could still hear all the street noise. I was traveling on the company’s dime and left a personal card for incidentals. My profile said to charge the company card for room and tax, and I was told I’d be responsible for other purchases. After checkout, the hotel charged my personal card immediately. Now I have to wait five days to get access to that money, which is a real inconvenience at minimum. Update: They charged me for both incidentals and the room without a receipt. Expect a bad time at this hotel.

The location is great, but our room shared a wall with the Skylounge and a party there made it impossible to relax. Green light from the sign also shone into the room all night because the curtains wouldn't close. The help desk didn't offer us any solution, and breakfast wasn't included.
