The covered parking made getting to and from the hotel much easier, especially given the area. My fiancé and I stayed here to see Brad Williams, who was staying here too. We got to say “hi” as we were leaving, which was cool lol. The room was fair for the price. We paid extra for the club lounge, which was a much more intimate setting than the general lounge, but it wasn't worth the extra $60.

We felt safe because of Bert, and Mr Harry and Ki made us feel special. Ralph impressed us with his work ethic and contagious smile. Everyone we met on the staff was incredibly nice and welcoming during the crazy Mardi Gras season. We ate at Fathoms three times, and every meal was excellent. This was our third year staying during MG, and we'll keep the family tradition going. The 25th floor cleaning staff were also so helpful when I needed a quick dress zip up while my family went down to catch the parade and I was getting ready for the KOR reception. Bravo, y'all are the best. See you next Mardi Gras season!

The hall light comes on when you approach the thermostat, which is annoying at night if one person gets up and the other is asleep. That was my only complaint. The room and view were nice, and service was great at breakfast and lunch in the restaurant, the front desk, and the bar. Valet was awesome, and the hotel is conveniently close to the convention center, train station, and cruise terminal.

The front desk moved us up a floor, and the bed and shower were better there. Thanks to the staff for helping us out. They were nice throughout, and the stay renewed our faith in Marriott Hotel. We were in town for the plant show this week as fellow horticulturalists. Our room had a nice view of the water, though the bathroom was small. The shower lever in room 2314 was loose and shaky. Pulling it out and turning it did nothing. The other Marriott battlefield had a nicer shower.

The river view was great both day and night, and it was easy to walk downtown. There’s also a covered pedestrian bridge over the highway that connects to the Convention center. The basic room felt overpriced. It was quiet and had a mini fridge, and most things you might need, though there was no microwave. The entry light sensor came on if I got up to use the bathroom, which was blinding in the middle of the night. The toilet kept running unless I jiggled the handle. Prices seemed to depend on demand and Convention Events.
