Springhill Suites Mobile

I stopped here for one night on a road trip and the room was very clean and spacious. It met all my needs perfectly, and I had a great stay.

The bed was very comfortable, and the free WiFi worked well all the way to the parking lot. Breakfast was a very good hot continental spread. There’s also an outdoor sitting area and an outdoor pool. The big clean room came with a fridge, microwave, and some amenities, though there were no USB ports. The lamps and workstation were older. Ground-floor rooms don’t have patio doors.

Update (01-09-26): My complaint to Mariott corporate led to 5,000 points being added to my Bonvoy account. I don’t know why they’d think I’d want to spend another night at a Mariott-branded hotel. Update (01-08-26): The owners replied with a message much like the ones they’ve posted to others with similar complaints. They know the hotel has problems and haven’t addressed them. Pay attention to Google reviews, not other sources. They seem more honest. My family stayed from the evening of January 1, 2026, to the morning of January 2, 2026, while driving home after visiting family in another state. We picked the area for the interstate access and nearby Sam's Club, Costco, and other major commercial services. We wouldn’t have stayed after seeing the room if we could have found somewhere else with our tired children. I want to stress that I only wanted the room I felt I’d paid for. When I travel alone I keep things cheap and expect little, but with my family I spend a few bucks so they can be in a good environment. I paid $140 for one night and expected much better. This place should be less than $100 at the absolute maximum, and that’s only because the room can fit a family with several kids. We take care to choose clean hotels because one of our family members has complex medical needs, even though clean places usually cost more. The room’s couch was in poor condition, and I photographed stains on it, the box spring, lamp, and wall, plus carpet damage. To me, the stains suggest the room isn’t thoroughly cleaned between guests. Breakfast could have helped make up for the room, but it was disappointing too. We arrived at 8 a.m., with more than an hour of service left, and most items already seemed picked over. The only fruit was heavily bruised apples and aging bananas. Some things were being refilled, but much of the buffet still had empty spaces and seemed not to be replenished. This place needs to clean up its act to be a three-star hotel. If it wants to be a less clean two-star, the prices need to reflect that. Some websites call it three-star, which made me very disappointed in my benefits website for misleading me. Google shows it as two-star, which seems much more accurate.

The night-shift woman was excellent. She moved us to another room after baby spiders started crawling on me and my child as we lay down. My child is highly allergic to insects, and luckily we found them before she was bitten. The shower pressure was terrible, and no manager contacted us at all. At checkout, Chris was sitting on his phone with headphones in and wasn’t very helpful. They didn’t have the things I asked for in stock. I requested a makeup remover wipe and was told they were out, though our previous room with the spiders had makeup wipes, which I wish I’d taken if I’d known. Housekeepers laughed when we mentioned the spiders and acted like we were making a big deal over “just spiders.” We’re paying guests and shouldn’t have to sleep with arachnids or insects. The couches had stains, and housekeeping needs to improve its cleaning and customer service. I’ll be calling corporate and sending pictures. My mom works for Marriot, and this isn’t how a hotel should be run.
