Hero Beach Club

Back in 2006, we stayed here after my sister’s wedding at Inlet Seafood. The beach after party was amazing and lasted until sunset, and the rooms were great too. The owners also have two Grenadiers, which are very capable vehicles. We’ve taken ours off-roading in Moab once and Ouray, Colorado twice. You point it where you want to go, and it goes.

We had a fantastic anniversary stay with our little toddler. My son loved the pool, and the hotel had such an easygoing feel. Our room was beautiful, with ocean views, a private balcony, and the best spot in the hotel. I also loved the room amenities and the complimentary drink at check-in. They even put beanbags and umbrellas on the beach, which was a nice touch. Tatiana was incredibly friendly, and we’ll definitely be back.

We had a 5/5 stay and would definitely consider coming back. Still, I’d call this a lovely 3 star hotel rather than a 4 star one. Some upkeep is needed: the bathroom light flickered, the hooks were coming out of the wall, and there were paint touch-ups needed. The beanbags were ridiculously comfortable, but smelled of mildew. After 11 pm, noise from the neighboring room was an issue. It wasn’t a huge problem, but with nobody at the front desk and no one answering the phone, we weren’t sure who to contact at that hour.

We’ve stayed here twice now and will definitely be back. The rooms are always super clean, and we love the pool, beach service with food and drinks, fire pit s’mores, and sauna. The location is great too, with the beach just steps away and everything close enough to walk to. Sophie, Troy and Alex, along with the whole staff, made us feel welcome and looked after. They helped with local recommendations, made sure we had what we needed, and were friendly throughout our trip. From the minute we arrived, the experience was a 10/10. Highly recommend!
