Cat and Daysha at the front desk, and Audrey at the bar, gave great service. The downtown location is a five-star point, but Room 727 was more like one or two stars. It was extremely hot, and paying extra for the Wellness Room felt like a waste. The shower was missing tiles and needs a refresh. The hotel’s processes need work too. I paid for a river-view room, and one was available, but their “PEP” system wouldn’t allow it to be booked. The manager couldn’t call corporate to use it, which seemed wasteful. At the evening reception, only one person could serve complimentary drinks, even though four others were behind the bar and not busy. They should review these systems with guest satisfaction in mind. I’d probably stay at the Renaissance across the street next time.

Wanda and her banquet team, Rodney, Katie, and Emani, did a great job with our event. They were hospitable and accommodating to our conference guests, and made the occasion memorable. The food was great and the setup was awesome.

The room and hotel were beautiful, and the snacks were so good. I loved the lemonade so much I wanted to take the whole container, and I’d love the sugar cookie recipe. Check-in was amazing too. Beverly and another very sweet woman with long hair from Alex City were real sweethearts. One housekeeper was already in the elevator when I entered, and as the doors started closing she didn’t hold them. She looked rude and disrespectful to a guest. I think she had braids pulled back. It feels very safe here, and everything was really clean, inside and beyond the Hilton property. The Local Pavilion has a lovely walking trail that doubles as a historical tour. Best of all, there’s a Walmart about 10 minutes away. Service was great too.
