Morris is a small town with few lodging options, and the Hudson Inn fills that gap. They're working hard to make this older hotel a nice place for the community. The rooms are clean and fairly updated, with small single rooms and good-sized doubles. Our only room complaint was that the shower could've been cleaned a little better. The pool area was great and my kids loved it. The restaurant and bar were understaffed, but the young woman covering both did an amazing job and had a great attitude. She deserves recognition from the owners. For the price and the area, you can't go wrong staying here.

The breakfast was disgusting, unhealthy, and had very few options for vegetarians. Channel selection was great, with life-size YouTube, which sells it. The rooms are all white and colorless. Poolside rooms overheat, while the outside rooms are freezing.

The staff were friendly, and everything in the room worked. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. We stayed two days, booking through booking.com, and the price was reasonable. Sunday's breakfast was very good; Monday's was basic but adequate. They have a pool and Whirlpool, but we didn't use either. I'd stay again.

The parking lot was under construction, but it wasn't a big deal. The pool was nice and the hot tub warm and relaxing. Our room was perfect, with a bed in one room and a sofa bed in another, and the first room was spacious. We were going to stay in a second room with a smaller bed, so we asked for the old room and they accommodated us. The hotel is large and has an old feel, going back years. We spoke with people who grew up in town and are now in their 70s. It's getting upgrades and being renovated. A comfortable place to relax and spend much-needed family time with nice people. I loved the staff, who were helpful and polite, and thought the hotel was gorgeous. Thanks, Hudson inn family ❤️🥰

We probably won't return, which is a bummer since our daughter will be attending college there for the next four years and we planned to visit one weekend each month. The hallways, lobby, pool, and restaurant all smelled stale, damp, maybe moldy. They are remodeling, so I can't fault them too much for that, though I don't think the restaurant is being redone and they should address its damp-basement smell. We had dinner Friday night in the quiet restaurant. The Alfredo was delicious, but the breadstick was rock hard. Our newly updated room, number 165, had incredibly comfortable mattresses, but construction in the parking lot began at 5:45am and they hadn't told me when I booked. The skid loaders and heavy equipment beeped incessantly, ending any chance of sleep, and the curtains let in lots of light too. The second reason we chose the hotel was the breakfast omelet station mentioned in reviews. There were no omelets Saturday morning after our Friday stay. Instead, the scrambled eggs were really gross, maybe powdered, the gravy on the biscuits was cold, and there was one sausage patty. We got up early and stayed until 9:30am, checking more than once, but no better food appeared. The main reason we picked the place was the giant pool, but a pool party ran from 5-8 and it closed at 9, leaving us only an hour to use it. It was very big with a 9-foot deep end, but ice cold, around 50 degrees by my estimate. After five minutes, we felt blue. The hot tub had the opposite problem, so hot we felt boiled. We stayed in early June, 2025.
