Barber-Tucker Inn

We stayed in the Barber Suite, and it was fantastic, with a very comfortable bed and a roomy bedroom and bathroom. Melanie was a great hostess, flexible about our arrival and happy to show us around the whole house. Since we were the only guests that night, we got to see every room. Breakfast Saturday was delicious, especially the chocolate brioche French toast, along with fresh fruit, eggs, and bacon. We’ll stay here again when we’re in the South Georgia area.

The Tucker room had such a comfortable bed, and Melanie made a wonderful breakfast. She and Michael were both friendly and easy to talk to. The Barber-Tucker House is charming and welcoming. Next time, we’ll leave more time to sit on the porch and enjoy the scenery. And if you love dogs like I do, make sure to meet the basset hounds!

The owner is what makes a stay here special. She treats you like family, goes out of her way to make the visit memorable, and makes a great breakfast. The rooms are all lovely, so you can’t go wrong with any of them. The old house is beautifully put together and worth a look. I’d definitely recommend staying.

We stayed here while on a family history tour, and our room was very comfortable. The owner shared a wonderful history of the home and made a seriously good breakfast. We’d recommend it, and we’ll stay again.
