Kastle Inn Motel

Heather was a bright spot when we arrived late. She was really friendly and helpful, and the poolside view was another highlight. The pool looked great, though we didn't have time to use it. Breakfast was disappointing, and I got the impression the person working that morning didn't care.

The view from one side was lovely, but there wasn't much else special about this average motel. The pool was closed during our visit, and the rooms and building felt old. Breakfast was poor, just bread and below-average coffee, with no fruit or hot food. One staircase was really dirty and smelled as if it had never been cleaned.

It's easy to get to right off the highway, and the back has a gorgeous view, places to sit, a gazebo, and a lovely pool. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our beds were comfortable. The room was quite clean overall, although the restroom vent was very dusty. Management was glad to hear about it, and I trust they'll take care of it promptly. They still hadn't brought back the advertised hot breakfast after the changes from the pandemic.

I stayed at the Quality Inn in Mount Vernon Kentucky in August 2023, my second visit since 2020. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, and the TV worked, but the internet was so slow I switched to my phone's hotspot. Despite the room looking remodeled, it had a missing desk chair, only one trashcan, and no bar holder in the bathtub. The toilet roll had no holder to keep it from falling off the wall, and the room smelled of smoke. I had requested a first-floor room and a king bed, but got a second-floor room with two queens, despite being alone. There is no elevator. I'm unsure I'd stay again, especially since the charge seemed high for the quality. I suggest the owners apply QUALITY to their rooms and reservations.
