There’s plenty of parking, and it looked safe. The rooms were in decent shape, seemed clean, and had good space, a work desk, and a good-sized TV. Housekeeping came daily, which I appreciated, and breakfast was free with the usual items. Nothing fancy, and unlike some other hotel brands, there was no coffee or tea outside breakfast hours. There are only a few fast food places and gas stations nearby, and nothing within walking distance. The location is convenient, right by I-44 at exit 46, but the trucks using their very loud engine brakes made it noisy. They should invest in noise-reducing windows. I don’t usually stay at this level of hotel because of company restrictions. There wasn’t another option close to our client unless I drove more than 40 minutes from Springfield, which I may do next time. So I don’t have much to compare it with beyond where I normally stay.

The manager was really nice and helpful, and I was happy with the stay. My room was clean, a good size, and had everything I expected. The gym and pool were lacking, but that didn’t take much away from the visit. Breakfast was an okay start to the day, with something for everyone.

I was impressed that it stayed so quiet despite being so close to the interstate. The rooms were very clean, but the strong air freshener smell kept this from being a five-star stay. I needed my inhaler several times and left a day early because of a COPD flare-up.

My back hurt after staying here. My fiancé and I stopped during a road trip, and that jacuzzi king bed was extremely firm. The pillows were standard or queen size even though the bed was a king, and there weren’t any extra ones in the closet. We didn’t use the jacuzzi, so all that space went to waste.

Umesh, the manager, was kind and clearly cared about his guests. The hotel is a little older, but they do what they can to keep it up. We found the beds comfortable, and the continental breakfast was good and always full. We were impressed and will stay here again when we come through.
