Check-in was quick and the staff were friendly. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked as it should. The microwave and fridge covered what we needed for a comfortable overnight stay. We'd gladly return when we're in the area.

I chose this place because it was fairly close to where I needed to be and one of the few hotels with smoking rooms. Mine was a king smoking room. There are both interior and exterior entry rooms, though only some allow smoking. Check-in was quick, and I liked paying for the stay before getting the key instead of leaving a deposit. The parking lot is old but clean, with plenty of space, and the exterior is showing its age. The room was reasonably comfortable and had a king bed, a thin blanket, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, large TV, desk and chair, another chair, and charging ports by one side of the bed. There was an outlet at the desk for a computer or coffee maker. The sheets were bright and crisp, but the vinyl plank floor was worn. Both chairs were badly stained, possibly with bodily fluids, and the blanket had what looked like blood on it. That made me wonder if it had been washed between guests. The bathroom was strange. The shower looked poorly done, with wavy grout, tiles that seemed cracked from installation, rough cuts, and two different tile batches on the walls. The darker batch made a lot of the tile look dirty, though that was just the color. There was only a pedestal sink, no vanity or space for toiletries. The door also needed a firm pull or shove to close. The worst part was the dirt on the floors. After about 15 minutes barefoot, the bottoms of my feet were black. I even took a photo after wiping an 18 x 18 square with a damp washcloth. Better cleaning would have earned five stars from me. Please clean the floors, and clean or reupholster the chairs and wash the blankets between guests.

The owners were kind when I told them at checkout about the roaches, and said they would have moved us if we'd called the night before. But it was already late, and if our room was infested, I worried the other rooms might be too. I would not stay here again. We picked the hotel because its reviews were good. I care most about a clean, bug-free room and don't mind an older property. At first the room seemed fine, but after about an hour I saw one cockroach, then several more. They seemed concentrated around the TV and entertainment center. My husband checked behind it and found garbage, including food wrappers and kids' toys. Later, roaches showed up on the nightstand between the beds. I didn't want to pack up and move rooms or leave so late. I thought about asking the owner for Raid, but worried that would scatter the bugs. We kept all the lights and the TV on through the night. I got no sleep, afraid one might crawl on me. When we left, we carried our belongings in the pickup bed instead of inside the truck in case we were taking bugs with us. At home we kept the bags open and bug-bombed the house to prevent an infestation.

The room was clean and nice, and the owners and staff were very friendly.
