Quality Inn Murfreesboro - University Area

Really clean room and a great one-night stay. Bring bottled water, though. The only option is a machine selling it for $2.00 a bottle, and there isn't any for Premium members.

Housekeeping did a thorough job here. I often find signs that cleaners have skipped behind the doors at other places, but there was nothing for me to criticize in this room. It was clean, with modern amenities, and the staff were friendly. I travel for work regularly and usually stay in choice hotels. This one should be an example for the others.

I never used the facility because the conditions were unacceptable when I arrived for my May 1-3, 2025 reservation at Quality Inn in Murfreesboro, TN. Even after I requested a refund five times, the hotel refused. My credit card company also declined my dispute, and I can't afford legal help. I'm deeply disappointed by the lack of accountability and customer service. I hope other people are treated more fairly.

The fitness room had no free weights or towels for cleaning the equipment, and breakfast was the same every day with no variety. But the room's mold and mildew smell was sickening. We couldn't tell if it came from the AC or the carpet. A room change wasn't available until the next day, and the replacement smelled the same. Housekeeping sprayed deodorizer, and I bought bleach at Dollar Tree and sprayed it into the AC unit, but the unhealthy odor remained. I had to sleep with a perfume scarf near my nose and turn off the AC. The hotel looks newly renovated and modern, but that didn't help with the smell.
