Before booking, look around the building. I didn't, and ended up in a room that connected to another one. I could hear the person next door snoring. The carpet felt sticky, the walls had stains, and there was dirty plastic cutlery left in a drawer. Gross. The listing promised breakfast, but there was none. This place is garbage level. You'd be better off sleeping in your car.

When I came back from work, three sheriffs were searching the property for reasons I don't know. I can't say whether it had anything to do with ICE, but I think they were going through rooms. I found a broken perfume bottle in mine. Hotel staff tried to gaslight me about it. Be careful staying here. SMH!

The receptionist was very nice, but the motel itself was the worst I've ever stayed in. My room looked nothing like the pictures, and the bed was painfully hard and uncomfortable.

I work night shifts while traveling around the country, and I've never had someone ask me every day whether I'm staying another night. Here, the front desk man walks around the hotel like an awkward watchdog, then knocks on my door at 9 a.m. to ask. I have a do not disturb sign up, which to me means leave me alone. It gives off money hungry energy, and I really don't like it.

It's an affordable, convenient base near the university and other local spots, and the staff were friendly when I checked in. My room was clean. The Red Roof Inn in Murray works well for a quick stop, especially if you're bringing a pet since pets stay free.
