After our bike ride south down the river from Elgin on 10/13/25, we decided to head over to the Fairfield at Naperville that we like so much. It’s just off the trail. Adam checked us in with a friendly, professional manner, offered us a great price, and chatted about his own biking. The room was clean, modern, and nicely decorated, with a great shower. We had supper at the Cracker Barrel across the parking lot, and the nearby highways didn’t make the room noisy at all. We slept wonderfully. The free breakfast is full of choices, which matters because staying somewhere without breakfast can mean spending the difference eating out. Ryan handled the front desk and breakfast checks really well. When we checked out, Emily smiled and chatted with us like old friends. We’ve seen reviews calling the staff rude, but that wasn’t our experience. The way everyone treated us made for a nice memory, and makes us want to come back.

I’m here because a house fire left my home condemned, and insurance chose this place for me. I can’t choose somewhere else; if I leave, I’d be homeless. Most of the guest agents have been good, but one night agent is consistently unfriendly and acts as if she doesn’t want to help me. When I asked a question she couldn’t answer, she told me to come back in the morning. I was fine with that, but she then told me to go away. I said the customer service sucked, and she replied that she didn’t care and told me to go away again. I asked for the manager, and she called the police over a customer service complaint. I had to speak with three officers. This night auditor treats me like garbage, and it makes me feel terrible about myself. I have no home outside this place, so I’m stuck here feeling like garbage. I guess.

The hotel needs cleaning, and the front desk is extremely rude. Whoever manages it needs retraining. There’s a thing called a vacuum, so buy one and use it! The filth might be easier to accept if the service were better. Avoid this hotel. Sam, do better!

Breakfast had an impressive range of food, and the room came with cable TV and soft, comfortable beds. The hotel is near the highway and lots of restaurants.

We stayed here for a volleyball tournament weekend, and it worked for our family. Breakfast had a good variety, though there was no plain bread for toast and the muffins weren’t labeled by flavor. The TV had streaming problems sometimes, which was annoying. The listing has pictures of a pool, but there isn’t one. I’d still stay here again.
