Drury Plaza Hotel Nashville Downtown

We came for a Predators game at Bridgestone Arena, which was an easy walk from the hotel. There was popcorn popping while we checked in, and the 5:30 Kickback had food and drinks set out nicely. Breakfast was one of the better hotel breakfasts I’ve had lately, with plenty of choices. The veggie scrambled eggs were my favorite. After the game, we ate at the restaurant because everything else was closed on our walk back. The chicken sandwich and tater tots hit the spot, and service was friendly every time. One parking tip: we found the hotel lot hard to locate and parked across the street instead, then paid $69.14 for 19 hours. The hotel parking rate is $42 plus tax, so lesson learned. I’d stay here again.

Our king suite was on a high floor in a corner, and the view was just perfect. The room was spotless thanks to Doris, who did an excellent job. Food and drinks were good, and the hotel was very clean. Everyone working there was friendly and smiling, even though I didn’t get all their names. At check-in, Jeremy was kind, upbeat, and helpful, and knew the answers to everything we asked. He was a rockstar. At checkout, another man greeted us warmly and checked that we’d enjoyed the stay. We did, and I’ll be back. The hotel also has great amenities and a parking garage.

We’re grateful to the Drury for looking after us and our dogs when our hometown had no power for over a week during Winter Storm Fern. The service was incredible, the rooms were comfortable, and people were so kind. It was also lovely that they welcomed pets. Some employees had lost power too, and I think corporate took care of them, with some staying at the hotel. That says a lot to me. I travel a ton for work and have points with the hotel chains. Other hotels were kind as well, but they were sold out, especially for guests with pets. I’d never stayed at a Drury before, but it’s now a surprise favorite. I’d consider them first, ahead of other chains, and would usually only need a hotel in my own hometown in a situation like this.

The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were so good that we ordered some for home. Our room was clean and spacious, with everything we needed in the bathroom. The staff were friendly in the lobby, the food area, and housekeeping. The hotel is also just blocks from Broadway, and there are lots of perks, including a good hot breakfast and free drinks and snacks during the daily kickback.
