Holiday Inn Nashville-the Crossings

The night began with a party of about 50 people on the ground floor and music so loud I could barely talk to the front desk. In my fifth-floor room, the beat still shook the mirrors and windows, and went on for hours. I tried calling the desk several times, but it just rang and rang. Finally I called to make a reservation and someone answered. They said the noise would stop at 10pm. It stopped at 10:30pm. Then the dogs started barking. It sounded like a kennel, with a dog going off and setting off the others. Seemed like every other room had one. That was enough for my stay. Getting a copy of my bill afterward turned into a two-hour ordeal. They hang up on customers, and even a service associate got disconnected. I tried to file a formal complaint and got nowhere, so I'm using this review to warn others. I wouldn't let my annoying neighbor's yappy dog stay here for a night. It's too cruel. The desk clerk was kind, but the rest of the room experience was horrible. I paid extra for a jacuzzi tub because I expected to arrive exhausted from traveling all day and wanted to relax before bed. Instead, there was pubic hair in it, and wiping the sides removed scum. It hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests. The faucet was a widespread lavatory type, not a tub faucet, so the tub took over an hour to fill and cost me an hour of sleep while I tried to get my extra money's worth. The bathroom also smelled like someone had smoked weed in it. When I first opened the door, the room was nearly 90 degrees. The wall thermostat didn't work, and the window unit only turned off the heat and started the fan. The AC didn't kick in for ten minutes, and after an hour and a half the room was still hot. I tried opening the window, only to find it blocked by another window that wouldn't open. There was no way to get fresh air in. This was easily the worst hotel room experience I've ever had.

The cleanliness was amazing, and the hotel was near attractions and restaurants. I found it after I couldn't check in at another nearby hotel because of a bad experience there. Victoria, the woman who checked me in, was so pleasant. I told her what had happened, and she listened and was very apologetic. She promised to make sure my stay here was great. Her customer service is excellent. Anyone would benefit from having someone like her on their team. Thank you for hiring such a caring associate!

We came to town for a funeral and booked here. Check-in was easy, and the associate was kind. The room was warm, so we turned the AC down and went to dinner with local family. A couple of hours later it felt even warmer. The room phone didn't work when we tried to call the desk, so we went downstairs. Thankfully, the staff were willing and able to move us, and the new room fixed the problem. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and breakfast the next morning was convenient. The staff were kind.
