The Netarts Surf Inn

The room was fresh, clean, and comfortable, and you’d never guess they allow pets. Check-in was easy, and we had great communication from booking through after checkout. The motel has a charming little beach-town feel, too. After we’d driven hours down the road, our son realized he’d left his favorite stuffed animal behind. I got in touch, and they’d already found it and kindly offered to mail it to us. He can’t wait to get his little friend back. We couldn’t be happier with our stay.

Really comfortable and homey suite, and it was very clean. The bathroom extras were fabulous. We’ll be back!

We had a nice three-night stay, especially for the price. The bed was comfortable, and I liked the front room with its kitchenette. The outside is cute, and parking is right in front of the unit. The bathroom is pretty tight, especially for a large adult. It’s an older property, but they’ve made some nice updates.

The location worked well, with a market around the corner and beach access about a block away. The kitchen was large and had the basics, and the clean pet area had plenty of room and doggy bags. The cleaning and upkeep were a real problem. There was sand on surfaces and sand and dust under the furniture, and the rug was filthy. When I wiped the floor, the paper towel came away black, so it didn’t seem the floors had been mopped. The bathtub had a lot of sand in it, which made me think it hadn’t been cleaned, and the bathroom sink drained very slowly because it was clogged. The living room also smelled strongly of cat urine. On arrival, its window was wide open with no screen, which felt like a safety concern. When we were leaving, the cleaner had parked in front of the dog relief area with 3 or 4 dogs barking inside the vehicle, making it hard to take my dogs out to potty. I’ve stayed at another of Bill and Peggy’s properties in Depoe Bay and had nothing bad to say about that stay. I blame whoever they’ve hired to maintain this property.
