Courtyard Columbus New Albany

The pool was great for my daughter, and the breakfast had more to it than its small appearance suggested. The sandwich choices were outstanding, and the man running breakfast was friendly and informative. Both front desk women, Thursday night and Friday morning, were fantastic and honored a later checkout, which we really needed. We stayed Thursday the 26th because of an appointment next door. The room was clean, and we’ll recommend the hotel and come back.

DANIELLE at the front desk was so sweet, professional and efficient. I loved how personable she was with guests, especially the kids. She’s definitely the perfect front desk lady. We had a very nice weekend in a beautiful hotel with vibrant, colorful decor, a huge room and a comfy bed.

The room smelled, and there were ants everywhere. Breakfast was just okay, and I won’t be coming back anytime soon. Lesli at the front desk was amazing, but we were charged for our ESA dog and service cat, which I’d never had to pay for before. I tried several times to speak with the manager Emanuel, but he didn’t return my calls and had one of the ladies call me instead. I’m a Diamond member, and it felt like he was too busy to listen. I booked two stays back to back, with a day between them that I missed by mistake. When I returned that night, they charged $181 for the night, though I’d paid $131 for each of the other seven nights. I showed the receptionist that I could book online for $131 while standing there, but they wouldn’t refund the difference. Poor business.

The location is convenient, parking was plentiful, and the front desk staff were friendly. The rooms are spacious, with a full kitchenette, big TV, plenty of seating, and unusually thick, luxurious towels. For the price, the hotel was acceptable, though the room condition didn’t match other Home2 locations we’ve stayed at. The toilet paper holder had no bar, leaving the roll on a shelf, and the built-in microwave seemed broken, so a countertop one had been put in its place. Shower water ran rust colored for over 10 minutes before clearing. Cleaning also seemed rushed: food residue was stuck to the counter, dishes were still in the dishwasher, and there was a torn paper scrap, a hair tie and food crumbs on the carpet, which didn’t seem properly vacuumed. A few fixes could make this a great place to stay.
